We have gotten many requests for us to offer a photography class for parents wanting to take better photos of the children. Do you have a DSLR but have no idea how to use it? Are you only shooting in “auto” mode and wondering why your photos are coming out blurry or dark as your speedy 2 year old runs by you? Our “Learning to Click” class which will take place in person for 4 hours on a Saturday. During this time you will learn how to use your camera and basics of lighting. You will walk away with the knowledge on how to put that nice camera into use of your everyday life.
**It is important to note that this workshop is NOT intended for photographers in business*…. business aspects, advanced photography and editing will not be discussed. If you are interested in mentoring for business, editing techniques or more in depth shooting and composition techniques, we recommend that you look at our 1:1 mentoring program with Mandy.**
Here is some feedback from our last class:
“I would highly recommend the “Learn To Click” class. I now have so much hope that I will be able to produce MUCHHH better pictures and Mandy is UHHH- MAZZINGGG at explaining things that even the “technically challenged” can understand.” – Megan P.
“I highly recommend this class for anyone with a “fancy” camera! I’ve been using my new camera for nearly 6 months and taking – what I thought were – decent pictures. After taking this class I’m excited to use my camera at the next family gathering because I know my pictures will be considerably better! Mandy is a wonderful teacher who breaks down the most complicated technical aspects of photography into easy to learn, take away strategies. Thanks to this class I better understand the basic creative and technical skills of great photography! I HIGHLY suggest this class and Mandy Leonards Photography.” – Megan N.
“When I signed up for your workshop, I wasn’t 100% certain what to expect as I already knew some things about f-stops and shutter speeds. I learned so much and am so glad that I attended. I had worked with ISO back in the day when using film cameras, but it was fantastic to learn about using the ISO setting successfully on my digital SLR. The information about metering was also incredibly helpful. The entire workshop was a nice balance between learning and practicing. It’s one thing to hear the info but quite another to put it into practice and make you it can be applied to real situations. Having the models come in (and having your kids stop by) was the perfect way to help tie the new tidbits of info together so that I feel confident in using the information when taking future pictures. ” -Dawn
